Samsung Embedded WebServer (EWS) Integration Guide

Deprecation Notice

This method of integrating with Samsung devices is intended for deprecation. Please see the Multiple Display Control (MDC) documentation for the currently used integration method.

This document serves as a comprehensive guide that outlines the necessary steps to successfully set up a Samsung display with the NetSpeek platform. By implementing this integration, users can test their Samsung devices during the room check process. This functionality ensures that all devices operate optimally and are ready for meetings, digital signage or presentations, improving the efficiency of virtual collaboration.

Please note that there are two methods of integrating Samsung displays, and different displays have different configurations. This guide describes the Embedded WebServer method – the other method, called MDC, is described here:

Enabling Embedded Webserver for Samsung Displays

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure the following:

  • Your Samsung display is powered on and connected to the same local network as your computer.
  • You have administrator access to the display settings.
  • A modern web browser is available on your computer (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.).

Step 1. Enable the Embedded Web Server on the Display

  • On your Samsung display, using the remote control, navigate in the on-screen TV user interface to:
Settings > Network > Embedded Web Server
  • Toggle the Embedded Web Server option to ON

This enables remote configuration access via web browser.

Step 2. Access the Samsung Display’s Web Interface

  • On a computer connected to the same local network as the display, open your browser and go to:https://<device-ip>:4000/Replace <device-ip> with the actual IP address of your Samsung display (e.g., https://192.168.1.25:4000).

If this is your first time accessing the web interface, the system will prompt you to create a username and password. Please store these credentials securely — you will need them for API integration with NetSpeek.

Step 3. Create Username and Password, or Log In to the Web Interface

  • If visiting for the first time:
    • You’ll be prompted to create a new username and password
  • If you’ve previously set up credentials:
    • Use your existing username and password to log in

Step 4. Provide Credentials for NetSpeek Integration

  • Once you’ve created or verified your credentials, submit them within the NetSpeek web application’s endpoint-integration configuration area.
  • These credentials allow the NetSpeek platform to securely communicate with the display via API.

Verification

Once credentials are configured:

  • To validate the Samsung display integration, select a Samsung device in the NetSpeek console, open the Device Actions Tab, and select an available device action.
  • On the device, observe the selected action occurring.
  • Back in the NetSpeek portal, select the device, open the Device Integrations tab, and ensure the device displays as Connected/Paired for Samsung.
